The Christmas Season

Last weekend, Christopher was here by himself due to Derrick having the flue. It was the first time he had been anywhere besides school without Derrick. We did some fun Christmas Crafts. Here is one of them...his Christmas "Snowman Bunny".







This week Stephanie and Ryan are here for most of their Christmas Break!! We have been making Christmas Crafts for them and their Grandparents. We have been baking almost everyday. This year we made Peanut Brittle, Chocolate Fudge, Tuxedo Bars, Mexican Wedding Cake Balls, Mini Cheesecakes, and Chocolate Chip Cookies.

Thanksgiving Weekend

We had a fantastic weekend with the little Guys. The day after Thanksgiving I put up most of the Christmas Decorations. The little guys decorated the Fireplace Mantel ...sooooo fun. Also...This weekend I made Snow People..

We had a busy weekend. Went to the movies and watched "Chimps In Space"...I got out our Fall Decorations for the front porch....Stephanie and I with assistance from Christopher washed the truck and the car this weekend without sweating due to the cooler weather...yeah!! PJ's for Customer Service Week

This past week was Customer Service Week at work. They put each staff members name in drawings for gift cards, dinners, ipods etc.... Everyday had a theme. Well..Monday was Pajama Day. These are the fun PJ's I found at the Goodwill for work!! I didn't win but everyone got a"hoot"out of them. They reminded me of the PJ's Jeremy and Angie wore when they were little toddlers except there's had Winnie the Pooh on them.

Fall Crafts

This past Week-end we did some fall crafts with pasta, different types of beans, craft paper glue and some misc household items. The kids had fun!!

Football Season

It has been very pleasant here this week. The leaves are starting to change and the morning breeze is cool and refreshing. Chrisopher, the kids and I are going to go hunting for pumpkins here real soon. This past Saturday we drove to Elkhart and watched Ryan (#10) (5th grade) play football in the Concord Football League. The Titans played great and tied the game under the lights at the High School!! Yeah! Sorry...I don't have any pics...They play their final game of the year this Saturday!! Go Titans!!

My Nephew Trevor (#45) (8th grade) plays Football for the East Middle School, Missles. They are undefeated this year and play in the Championship Game on Saturday the 11th!! Go Missles!!

The Boys enjoyed putting up the Hummingbird Feeder with Daddy. They really wanted to eat the sugary juice just like the Hummingbirds do :) Our "real" Hummingbirds lately have been fighting over the feeder. I did some research and found they are very territorial. We will have to get more feeders for next year so they will not fight :)

Bird Island

This Spring, Christopher and I put up Bird Feeders since we love watching the birds. All 4 kids are enjoying it this year as well :)Christopher let the grass grow under the feeders and named it "Bird Island"!! We have a large variety of birds that visit "Bird Island" and several regulars. We had a Starling that visited for about 3 months earlier in the Spring. He would actually would hang on the screen on the sun room directly behind the bird feeder. He would sing and sing some more..... Finally he started bringing his girlfriend too :) We also have a chipmunk that hides in the grass of bird island and I'm sure he finds some good food as well.

Growing

Growing,... As you all know I love plants and watching them grow into beautiful masterpieces. On the birth of my nephew Eli Ray, I planted my sunflower seeds in a tiny little pot and placed it in the the kitchen window. I have been watering the seedlings and looking at it each morning. Today I looked in the kitchen window to find the Sunflower seeds had begun to sprout up out of the dirt. It is amazing how fast we and our beautiful nature around us grow!! It's a rainy day today but such a blessing too...the grass is starting to turn green again:) Have a wonderful weekend!

This Summer flew by....The kids are all back in school again and are doing well. Derrick is doing great in all day kindergarden. Christopher is bored with school but doing well. Ryan is playing football. Stephanie has a 3.5 grade point average and has started soccer again. Here's a few Pictures from our Summer Fun.
